What is Island Issues Island Issues is a thirty minute public affairs program that airs weekly on KOA Country and LAVA 105.3. Join our host, Mahalo Broadcasting’s Public Affairs Director and Hawaii Public Radio's Hawaii Island news reporter Sherry Bracken and her guests as they talk about Hawaii Island’s issues! Island Issues airs around the island on Sunday mornings at 6:30 a.m. on KOA Country (KKOA-Volcano, 107.7 FM, Hawaii Island’s Country Station) and at 8 a.m. on LAVA 105 (KBGX-Kea’au, 105.3 FM, Hawaii Island’s Oldies Station), also online at 8, www.lava1053.com.
